This would have been a custom order from JK, and given that the differences between the I and II were not all that significant in the baris, perhaps they only offered that finish in their II models. It is black nickel plate, with gold plated keys. The finish on the horn is very unusual, so that might explain a lot as well. However, I must admit, my knowledge of H. Given that JK numbered all their horns sequentially, to the best of my knowledge, I thought the IIs were a much later model. I'm looking at a Superba II bari with a serial # of 61XXX, which would put its production date at 1968-at least according to the JK serial # chart. Couf lover living or lurking amongst us, who have some knowledge about when the Superba II baris came out.
